THE MINISTER

Minister Nkanwi Fokwa Ambe an ordained cleric of the Universal Life Church Ministry, by profession is a trained journalist who has practiced Mass Communication in West Africa for over 15 years and worked with such prominent TV stations in Cameroon as Afrique Media, Equinoxe TV and DBS.

Beginning as a freelance radio broadcaster in 2004 gaining notoriety in the North West Region of Cameroon as presenter of the "The Word" a 1-hour talk-show on CRN Radio in which various spiritually oriented topics ranging from the meaning of 666 to Christian prophecy were discussed, he began his career delving into subject matter the conservative nature of the society had left to be debated in closed circles but never publicly. He went on to found the Association for Cultural Awareness - ACA (originally the Cameroon Cultural Awareness Association - CCAA) a non-profit organization in 2007 with the aim of developing human consciousness with an emphasis on contributing African perspective for promotion of unity, love and peace for equitable global evolution.

The Universal Life Church Ministry was founded in 1959 by Reverend Kirby J. Hensley who left the Pentecostal and Baptist Churches in dis-enchantment after coming to the revelation every religion and spiritual tradition is equal with God reigning supreme. The ministry recognized as the Universal Life Church Monastery has been headed by Chaplain George Martin Freeman, with its headquarters situated in Seattle since 1977. The official headquarters of the Universal Life Church is situated in Modesto California and is currently headed by Andre Hensley, with over 20 million ministers ordained in various spiritual paths worldwide ranging from Christianity to Shamanism.

After the passing of Lida Hensley,  the Church Board elected Andre Hensley, who has worked full time at the Church since 1977, to act as President of the ULC on January 14th, 2007.

The ministry's mission is to "make fishers of men" emphasizing ordination on the basis of "Calling" with a world wide network of inter-faith minister. The ULC teaching is firmly, "DO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT" and it's maxim, "WE ARE ONE," reveals God has a collective movement bringing together those who will spread spiritual unity taking humanity into the next age of consciousness. As a minister of the Universal Life Church in Cameroon, the movement of the Ministry of Spirituology, given as a mission to Minister Nkanwi forms a foundation for global contribution of spiritual thought cross-culturally from Sub-Saharan Africa as a unique teaching of humanity unified under a single universal non-dogmatic subject matter called "Spirituology."

The Ministry of Spirituology is a division of the Association for Cultural Awareness, formed with the objective of fulfilling its aims to support the endeavors of the United Nations, UNESCO and other relevant dependent organs of the world governing body towards the consolidation of equitable coexistence, while upholding the fundamental liberties enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by advancing awareness of the religious culture of humanity through holistically advocating for spiritual unity and understanding.

As a subsidiary of the U.S. based non-profit Africa Advancing, the ACA publishes a periodical magazine entitled 'Black Flag" which aims at incorporating the concept of universal human evolution into the African world reality as part of its parent organization's community outreach education initiative on the continent. As one of the ACA's major projects, he collaborated in the production of the 1-hour radio program "Urban Culture" on ABAKWA FM, which ran for three years (2006 - 2009) and further delved into various social and spiritually oriented topics building a wide following and generating extensive feedback as enlightening the masses in the North West Region.

Before returning to Cameroon, Nkanwi grew up in the United States of America, leaving Cameroon originally at the age of two temporarily migrating with his father and mother who were furthering their education in the grand academic institutions of the land of not just liberty, but knowledge. It was this synchronized event in his life that brought him to the position where he fell in love with education, moving from one university environment to another. Though obtaining a Diploma in Adult Literacy and minoring in Adult Counseling with a disposition towards psychology, the 'education' he fell in love with was not of the secular academic type however, but that of philosophy, nature and human existence.

Returning to Africa at the peak of adolescence following a "Jonah" like experience guided by "the hand of God," the cultural parallels he encountered opened his mind to the vastness of the 'psychic atmospheres' individual societies operate under across the globe. The experience of understanding "two worlds" on the same planet would later prepare him to understand his purpose as set by the Universal Cosmic Mind as it became his "destiny" to cause the two cultural parallels to intersect and with it bring a mergence of the reality of the ancient world of Africa as the "Cradle of Civilization" with the modern world to complete the full image of humanity from its spiritual origins allowing the New Thought movement to bring revival to the "Mother Continent."

As an independent researcher of spirituality for over 18 years Ambe has written numerous articles and coordinated forums to address issues on culturally related topics. Taking on this disposition as a public speaker coupled with his appreciation of knowledge of the collective human consciousness he had been confronted with what those who interpret spirituality through the Christian tradition would refer to as a "Calling" and been placed on the platform of various pentecostal churches with the open path to ministry.

Though faced on several occasions with the opportunity to assume the title of "Pastor" and "Reverend," he refused settling for the more subtle appellation of "Wise Man" bestowed upon him by the more non-sectarian radio broadcast "congregation" or audience he cultivated. Recognizing the world greatly needs individuals who are willing to accept the task of 'ad-ministering' knowledge to humanity, Ambe explained, "The title of "Minister" denotes an 'objective disposition of service' derived from the Greek word "diakanov" which means "servant" given as an appellation to 'one who has taken it upon themselves to be a servant of humanity.' This is opposed to a "Pastor" who is technically 'one who keeps sheep.' "

Asked why he had been a "reluctant messenger" and not embarked on manifesting his capacity to address human spirituality from the Christian platform, Minister Ambe says "We have to be able to differentiate the historical rabbi Yeshua and his teachings, the doctrines Paul attached to them and their basis from which the Romans created the character "Jesus" and 'Christianity.' The nature of God is not limited to 'Christianity' and I have found it difficult to reconcile myself to the notion advanced in the religion that it is the only correct path by which the collective consciousness can be experienced. In all my experiences of working with the managing authorities of Christian churches my spirit has always made me sense this taint of self-righteousness which to me betrays what Yeshua stood for as a messenger of a universal loving God which created each and every human equal. Avoiding the title of Pastor has not limited me from imparting knowledge to those who earnestly need it and it definitely has not impeded my personal spiritual growth. Rather I feel God has been holding me back for the time to be full, when I will be 100% ready to contribute a real effective change to the world's consciousness. I would alienate myself if I was reduced to standing before another group of people shouting 'Hallelujah' and leading them into giving away their hard-earned money for healing and blessings. My calling is to minister knowledge to humanity, not serve Christianity."

Reflecting on when he became an initiate of the path in subtle awareness of his work in the true dimension of his calling, Minister Nkanwi, recollected the beginning of his spiritual evolution since the age of 6 or 7 years old when he came across a book on Greek mythology his older brother had brought home from the school library. "Being raised in a Christian home, I always wondered at the stories of Jesus with my impression of him as not as a Trinitarian deity, which to a child would have meant little, but the mystery of the man, like Merlin and the tales of dragons and sorcerers I had already grown to love. Enchanted by mystical lore from a young age, I wondered where the gods and goddesses of Olympus had gone, like Jesus ascending to Heaven. I planned when I was older I would find them. I can say my quest to realize my own spiritual conscious began then and only grew as I got older. I realized from a young age all religious teachings and tales of the enchanted world were based on one spiritual tradition of humanity."

Admitting he has always acknowledged Jesus or rightfully “Yeshua” had a pivotal role in the evolution of human spirituality, Minister Nkanwi notes he came to "knowledge of self" as an adherent of the Five Percent-Nation of Gods and Earths philosophy in the United States and later practiced orthodox Islam in Cameroon, briefly for 3 years, experiencing its culture of discipline, but left the path to Mecca finding discontent with the ideology of assimilation perpetuated by a Muslim cleric he encountered who insisted Islam must absorb an individual’s identity.

Standing firm in the Supreme Mathematics of the Five Percent, the concept of "Islam" Minister Nkanwi identifies with is based on the teaching of Clarence X, who expounded on the word I-S-L-A-M, by attaching to its acronym the significance of "I SELF LORD AM MASTER." "Each and every human being is god of themselves insofar as they perfect their knowledge of themselves and the universe with which they find themselves in."

Varying from the traditional belief of some adherents of the 5% owing to its birth in the Nation of Islam, that all "white people" are devils, Minister Nkanwi strongly advances "The struggle for emancipation from “mental slavery” has never been the plight of any one particular ethnic group but the fight of humanity. The “whiteman” collectively has been scapegoated far beyond the reality individual humans who submit to and spread ignorance as servants of “darkness” have been at the root of the cause of every evil throughout the ages. The vicious propagation of nationalism, racism, religion, sexism and every other “belief” of supremacy challenges the collective consciousness from recognition of unity in being. Those who choose to be passive or not awaken find themselves contributing to the problem."

Justifying all of humanity is capable of achieving "god-hood" as one of the basic principles revealed in the study of spirituology as related to concepts found in the allegory of the Western and teachings of the Afro-Asiatic Eastern Traditions, likening himself to a Yogi, Minister Nkanwi advances the path of Yoga is perhaps the most open in its spiritual worldview, but to gain wider appreciation in the west, needs to be broken down into clear expression in English and the other languages of the world. Acclaiming the Sutras of Patanjali, he values the Cosmology of Yoga in which all religions are recognized as variant aspects of one unified reality which is the fundamental nature of humanity and the Cosmos. Admitting he has an Eastern based appreciation of Christianity merged with an understanding of spirituality holistically, being brought up in the western hemisphere of the earth, and baptized twice, once by sprinkling and afterwards by submersion, the minister advances everyone can be brought beyond the barriers some religious authorities have created to divide humanity which has lead to war, oppression and poverty through education.

Shifting from Radio Broadcasting to Television in 2011 moving to Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon, he expanded his practice of public presentation to a national and international audience after working with Afrique Media TV, Equinoxe TV and others, which was a formation in which God prepared him to address a global audience. Limitation of his career to news presentation and secular programming however increased his desire to dedicate his accumulated study to an initiative that would have an impact on advancing human consciousness. Having always been sympathetic to the plight of the African continent, Nkanwi began writing what would eventually be realized as the foundation of Spirituology as a treatise justifying the contribution Africa has and is destined to make to renaissance human spiritual evolution.

Filled with passion to submit to his calling, he resigned from working as a television news anchor to pursue formal Divinity Studies under the UNIVERSAL LIFE CHURCH MINISTRY and was consecrated with ordination by Chaplain George Martin Freeman on August 13th, 2014 justifying the ontological research he had accumulated over a decade. Embarking on his destiny, Nkanwi declared the year 2014 "Anno Spiritus 1" on September 18th and symbolically shaved his head as a sign of rebirth after the initiate path of the ancient Khemeti tradition, the source of modern humanity’s religious systems, the origins of all African spiritual traditions. At last in affirmation of his "awakening", the conditions for the revelation of "SPIRITUOLOGY" a collective synthesis of knowledge presenting human spirituality in a unified form were fulfilled after the Cosmic Process initiating the gathering of the MINISTRY OF SPIRITUOLOGY.

On the 21st of October 2016, he was honored with a Doctor of Divinity from the Universal Life Church Seminary in justification of his thesis, the "Theory of Spirituology" which advances the basis of human evolution is to attain collective mastery of inward soul consciousness shifting from this 3 dimensional plane we know as our earth. Being the intrinsic purpose of all religions, humanity can attain spiritual unity behind the cultural advocacy of spirituology.

Minister Nkanwi describes the Ministry of Spirituology, as a gathering of "awakened" individuals who acknowledge their calling to awaken others in contribution to the age old legacy that will continue to lead humanity towards recognition of the "Collective Human Consciousness" and God in ALL with no concept of division in human spiritual nature or scientific terminology. This he says is the "Kingdom of God" spoken of by Jesus the Christ, attributing the change in modern terminology to the reason many forget the so-called “New Age” teaching is not "new." The Golden Age of humanity was realized under the ancient Khemeti who established a culture which did not base itself on bigotry.

He refuses being the founder of a movement or the ministry advancing the concept of human spirituality can not be his own, so he cannot accept to be looked upon as the founder of "Spirituology," as a subject matter, but prefers recognition in the role of just another "initiator." As a Minister of the Ministry of Spirituology, he says his work is to merely be a candle that is used to light another candle. "We are all ministers to ourselves first, but then the Cosmic prepares a sequence of experiences that will provoke particular individuals to take on the calling of expounding on certain aspects of knowledge that will quicken the experience of others like the great men and women we know from the past and those of now." Properly understood, the Light began long ago at the beginning of the expanse of the Universal Consciousness that manifested the Cosmos from a single un-embodied Infinite Mind and it has been with humanity since. It has never belonged to anyone but the source, what many call God, which is eternal.

According to Minister Nkanwi, "Atum" revealed fully in the understanding of Ishvara is the founder of the Spirituology, referring to the Yogi teaching which explains the Atman-Brahman or the Universal Consciousness or "God," consciously takes on the form of an avatar or embodies itself into the form of a particular human being (anthropomorphism) and manifests on this 3rd dimension and other dimensions as the Cosmic process is fulfilled. This manifestation of the Ishvara is synonymous with the teaching in the Christian tradition which speaks of  "Christ", understood as the Greek "Logos". The logos as was revealed in the mythos of the Khemeti Heru (Horus) is the embodiment of eternal light symbolizing the eternal process of the evolution of consciousness through the human incarnation. The character Jesus the Christ of the New Testament narratives of the Bible, declaring the destined achievement of the divinity of all devout incarnated souls declares "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these..." (John 14:12-14)

Remaining consistent with the cosmological teaching of the ancient Khemeti tradition, spirituology sets itself as the systematic study of awareness of God as Reality the incarnated soul is naturally experiencing. Minister Nkanwi Fokwa Ambe is just a tool by which the consciousness of Atum mirrored from him is willing a fire to burn, by which more candles can continue to be lit as the time of the awakening quickens. The human being is the image with which GOD manifested itself as the "Christ." As such, we are the form of its creation, we are apart of it; we are it. We are gods and goddesses, souls evolving through a 3-dimensional reality. With Minister Nkanwi this ancient teaching is again preserved for all spiritual paths and religious adherents to realization by all who seek to contribute to the attainment of unity, love and peace in humanity.
